Server Help
I started a server a few days ago and I've been having some a few problems. I am using the latest bukkit build and I will include any config files on pastebin or screenshots if you ask. If anyone looks at this post with the same questions I will include the answers by the problem. Also, a quick question Bukkit or Spigot? This post is to help me and others.

Problem 1
Prefixes I think they're called. I cant get 'Owner' to come up next to my name and I think it said somewhere I need a chat manager. If you want I can include a screenshot
Answer
Changed to Spigot and then got Essentials Chat. Also messed up with the prefixes in PEX.
Problem 2
Not many of you will know but I cant figure out how to use the server selector in hub essentials. I've entered a command in the config (warp ----) but it isn't teleporting me to the multiverse world. Im using a different warp plugin because I think essentials is only on Spigot atm and again, I can include screenshots.

When you say that there is no official Essentials for MineCraft 1.8, that's not 100% true. TeamCity created a plugin called Essentials which is almost exactly like the original. This is compatible with 1.8 versions of spigot.
Pretty sure GroupManager is obsolete and is no longer being *officially* maintained
Not to go too far off track but to prevent confusion for future viewers:
Groupmanager is no longer on its own but it was adopted by the Essentials sweet. As of 4/2/15 they last updated it in october of 14 which is normal for them. You can find the download link on their homepage here: http://wiki.ess3.net/wiki/Main_Page

The essentials team does not want anything to do with bukkit/spigot since the DMCA. If you visit their IRC channel and try to discuss 1.8 they basically tell you that there exists no official 1.8 and will not upgrade anything or fix any bugs as a result of using bukkit.
They didn't upgrade essentials to work on 1.8, the spigot team did, and the essentials team does not support and basically refuses to help if you mention using Essentials for 1.8
The spigot team look as if they are only going to fix major issues and/or bug since it isn't their software. Therefore making Pex and other permissions plugins a better option.

It will give you a whole lot more functionality including /warp which I will mention in the next problem. Essentials owns groupmanager so they work well together and groupmanager is just overall MUCH easier to use.

Get rid of hub essentials. You can use Essentials to create warps in any world by doing /setwarp and then use /warp to get to it. To get to a world as the owner you can use /mvtp [world]. If you get multiverse portals you can set portals that the players actually walk through. It uses worldedit to set them

Personally, I like groupmanager and find it easy to use. That and I could troubleshoot it a bit better.

Problem 1: You need to use PEX to make all of your groups, permissions, and group tags such as 'Owner' or 'Player'
Problem 2: Use spigot not bukkit for multi-world and possible multi-server use. And also look up a total different plugin for hubs, I never liked or could get hub essentials to work properly.
