Server help!!!
I made a bukkit server about a week ago and I portforwarded it and got a bunch of needed plugins. But the problem is that im not sure if other people can join. My brother can join but he is in the room across from me so idk if that has anything to do with him being able to join and other people not being able too. I asked my friends to join but they say they cannot. idk how to fix this problem (if it is a problem). Please help. Here are my server world properties.

Thank you all of you i fixed this problem about a week ago and the problem was that it was portforwarded the entire time but i didnt have my server up when i went to canyouseeme.org people can now join
I know many ppl who have used hamachi and even have I and it worked fine
I DO agree that port forwarding is better though BUT its VEry hard to do
I would disagree entirely. The actual notion of port-forwarding is relatively simple. In fact, usually the biggest problem that people have is allowing minecraft through their firewall (not their router).
Some Internet Service Providers (Like mine) Block all kinds of port forwarding. SO no matter if you have port-forwarded on your router, only people connected to the same network as you will be able to join. My provider (Bigpond) offers a $10 a month plan that will give static ip and port forwarding, for example. It's basically just another way for them to get money...

I do see your problem and when my dad made His server so my brother could play with us at his mums, it took a while to open ports and all.
BUT!
the easiest way to do it is this:
1. Download Hamachi
2. Install it and make a few networks
3. make sure your friends have it and make them join the networks.
4. Turn your serer on and make them use your ip (the ip will be near the power button on hamachi)
PM or message me if your having trouble
Again, this is not advice I would recommend. Using hamachi is unsafe and idiotic. It runs a VPN to connect users, essentially making you as vulnerable to others on the internet as people within your own home. The only protection at this point of using hamachi would be using your very own firewall. And let's face it, hamachi is so incredibly insecure that an average person is able to GOOGLE how to gain control of your computer through it.
Port-forwarding is the way to go, and you are so incredibly close, I would not even dare touch hamachi or any VPN.
If you can connect through that IP then so can everyone else.

This is not quite accurate. Mainly due to a number of routers still on market today do not allow for self-connecting to your own external, but I digress...
You said your brother could join, which is fantastic. That means the most complicated part for most (the firewall) is already a resolved situation. Now all that is left is checking your external address. While ZaphodX provided a good site for finding your IP, it will not directly tell you whether or not others can connect. The best method to do this is, quite literally, check it from outside. Using a website like http://canyouseeme.org will grab your IP, and you only have to enter your port in order to see the service. The only key to using this is to make sure your server is running before you do this.
On a leaving note, I would recommend leaving the server-ip in your server.properties file blank, as this will allow it to listen on any locally available address (which, with homehosting, is 100% desired).
