Server Ideas?
Hey.. Gonna be honest. I'm pissed. Cant put it in any other way. simple. I have been hosting a server for a long time and I switch for a lot of reasons.. I get it popular then suddenly it all falls apart and dies. IM NEVER DOING FACTIONS AGAIN!. Theres too many out there. And should be left be. So is there any server ideas or suggestions that I can set up. I have a dedicated server. I tried a pvp arena but that gets boring very very fast. Like to hear suggestions. Thanks. :/

Towny, Mcmmo, Jobs/Economy servers with PvP turned off are fun and its hard to find many good ones. Mob Arena is also a really amazing arena plugin and a great alternative to pvp. Finding a server that heavily enforces anti-grief policies is also a good recipe to keep people playing for a long time.
Lol. That's pretty much what my server is, except without Towny. Don't think that plugin is a need unless it's a medievil server or something.
I agree with NO factions. I think a creative server could do good.
You could install a mod pack onto your server such as Tekkit or FTB, which are very popular.
Or instead of Factions, you could use Towny Advanced instead, which is similar to Factions, in that it is a plot protection plugin, but contains a lot more features, such as different types of plots, taxes etc.

Alternatively, you could make your own mod pack, and install that on your server, allowing you to customise your server to whatever you want, and thanks to the new Technic launcher, people will be able to run your mod pack easily.

How about just a normal server, with games, helpful plugins, and a faction world (if you stop hating factions). Things like this happen all the time - You just have to wait through them. Eventually, you'll gain a stable playerbase, and it won't die off any more.
kit pvp, capture the flag...idk kit pvp is easy to do
