Server keeps getting hacked
Hello, my so-called "friends" keep hacking onto my server and griefing. When I ban them, they hack back on and grief more. I have had to reset the map 5 times in the past 2 days. It's getting really annoying. Any help is good!

It depends on what you mean by "hacking".
1. If you are not using a professional host, always whitelist. New players must be recommended by a trusted player, and that trusted player must take responsibility for his invited friend. If you do not know what you are doing, hosting from your home PC is risky.
2. Get "Grief Prevention" that is the name of the plugin, if you are using Tekkit Lite, I can show you how to make it work. Some Tekkit items bypass Grief Prevention, mining lasers ect.
3. If you are using Tekkit or Tekkit Lite, get Disabler, Disabler is the only decent plugin I have found that actually bans the items from being picked up, used, ect.
4. Get Minebans. NOT MCBANS. Make your bans a little more weighty. You can also keep most cheaters off since they go through proxies and alts. Minebans stops both of these from connecting. McBans sucks and has a backdoor. With Minebans, good people usually think twice before, "just messing around".
5. Get WordPunishments, I could care less about cursing on my server, however, when a player gets on and their first sentence is "nigga" or something highly sexual, I want them gone. I simply setup the config file for running a command, "ban <player> 12". This will not only ban them, but put them on the banned list on Minebans.
6. Get AntiXRay, that is the name of the plugin. This plugin does not use system resources by obfuscating the ore, it instead tracks how much ore a player gets. If the player bypasses a reasonable amount, it will not let them mine any more. Cheaters will complain the plugin is broken and you should disable it.
7. Get "Backup", set the config to backup at least every 3 hours and store at least 15 backups. So if someone does wreck everything, you can revert.
8. Get NoCheatPlus and turn off the anti-spam. Grief Prevention handles that already. NoCheatPlus will disable most weird packet request and stop things like flying, wall clipping, teleporting, ect.
If you are using Tekkit Lite, to run Bukkit plugins, you need to delete the TekkitLite.jar and replace it with this:

Then make a "plugins" folder.
This is only a set of plugins, your configuration will vary and honestly, you are always going to be one step behind. Read up on every plugin, and use failures as experience. Never OP anyone, never give anyone gamemode 1 unless you really need them (you don't). If you have less than 30 players, you will suffice, you do not need staff or moderators.
People are going to complain like holy hell when you implement these changes. Who cares. Obviously what you are doing is not working. This works. If you think it is to much work dealing with learning all of these, learning to code, dealing with griefers and complaints. Welcome to the world of game server administration.
