Server listed down but it is up

Hi,

I've noticed a few hours ago on my listing here http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/minecraft-island-skyblock/ the server is listed as being offline, and has been listed offline for the past hours. In all this time we've been very much online, with about 100 players at the time of this message.

I'm not sure when this problem has appeared with the listing, I've just noticed it a few hours ago. It's not a firewall problem, nor a domain problem. I haven't changed any setting on my end on the server for days, nor in the listing entry.

Apart from the notice I posted on the listing itself for players to ignore the up status, is there anything else I can do? Can someone from the PMC staff look at the issue and let me know?

Thank you.

Well, sorry to say your suggestion didn't work.

Not only re-verifying with either mcspacecraft.com or the numeric IP didn't work giving error "Can't connect to server", but now I can't even update the other server details because it says I must verify the server first.

So we basically have a first page server listing that shows us as offline for nearly 3 days now, and is impossible to update.

Opened a support ticket, hope an administrator will shed some light as to why this is happening and fix it for us...

I've restarted the server early this morning, still listed as offline.

I'm unsure of what else to do as we're listed with 6 server lists and all of them show the server properly as online except PlanetMinecraft.

Is there any place to report this kind of bugs, apart from a forum thread?

I don't know - You could try talking to an administrator.
I'm pretty sure re-verifying should work, though.. :/

SilverKytten, thank you for the feedback.

Unfortunately restarting the server at this time of the day is out of the question. We don't like to alienate our users and are proud not to restart it more than once every few days.

The port is correct, there was nothing changed either on my end (server) or in the listing, so you're probably right there's an issue with PMC. I'll just watch the listing from time to time, it'll probably get fixed soon.

If it isn't fixed, on it's own, by the next time you restart the server, you should try re-verifying. I'm fairly certain it should help.

I've noticed a few other servers, with this issue - First thing you should try, is verifying the server - Go into "update this server" then hit "change and re-verify." You'll have to stop your server, and change the MOTD to the code it gives you (and then turn it back on), then click "test my MOTD for the code." After that, you can change your MOTD back to what it was - And your server should show up as online.

If that doesn't work - Make sure you have the correct port, in the port feild.
