I've kinda figured out a lot of this stuff already, I just got a mod called SCPCraft. I have bukkit, and me and my friend are getting the mod installed on our clients. What do I have to do to the server files to get this working? Will I have to put the files in this into the server file(where it holds all the minecraft info like the client)? If so, do I also need to install modloader or whatever it needs to make it compatible? I would really appreciate some help here, because I don't wanna go through all the trouble for nothing. Thanks.

the easiest way to play on a modded server is with tekkit, its pretty amazing what you can do and its pretty easy to setup, just as easy or easier than a bukkit server.
heres a link to their website, and its bukkit at the core of it so you can still add plugins

IF a mod is multiplayer compatible, it will have a separate file you can download that you would treat like the normal minecraft_server.jar file. Not all mods can be used online. Most mods will have a tutorial.
