I am trying to play on a server which has 1.4.5. However, It still has the 1.4.5 in red next to the ip, and says the client is out of date. I have not back- updated my game.
I would greatly appreciate any help you could give.

I was afraid of that. I just upgraded my computer from 32bit win xp to 64 bit win 7, and there is still a lot I don't get. Thank for trying to help though!

I tried force updating it but it would not do anything. I tried re-downloading it from the internet that did not work. I tried just playing it on the website, and that did not work either.
That's your problem: You aren't updated.
In 1.4, they added a feature that allows you to see the server's version, if it's more updated than yours, or outdated. You probably don't even have 1.4.5 because you haven't updated. So try updating, and that should fix it.
