Hi, recently I have made a minecraft server, just a private server for me and my friends, anyway I have been trying to make a tekkit server, when I startup the server it says a server is already running on that port.
I have diagnosed the problem and its that my minecraft server is on also using my IP adress. Is there anyway I can completely shut down my server (on mac).

Ok, I am pretty sure you need to go onto your internet website (the ip you go to to port foward.) and delete the current portfoward then re port foward. OR shut your server down, replace the minecraft_server with the tekkit server jar (rename it minecraft_server) then restart the server.
