So i think i am going to setup a Vanilla server with the AMPLIFIED world (in version 1.7.2)
how much RAM would i need for about 30-50 players ?
I think the AMPLIFIED world uses quite a bit of resources.

id say 2-3 gigs because its vanilla. You might see some lag getting up to 50 players. but chances are, especially if your starting out your first server, there wont be that many
If you wanted to run craftbukkit (once its updated) you would need 3-5 gigs depending on amount of maps, plugins etc.

you would be needing around 3GB RAM for 30 players and around 4GB for 50 players.
