Is a server reset worth it?

Hey everyone! Currently I am running a Factions server, but I have had some hard time getting it to be popular especially since I can't get on that much. The server has taken a big amount of damage over the past few months, ranging from complex errors in our plugins' coding to abusive staff. We have had many issues, and it was very hard finding good staff to help me run the server. Although now times have been easier, and we've cleaned out most of the bad eggs, the server still isn't very popular, and this is why I am planning a huge reset. The reason for this is that the economy is mostly unbalanced now, and we've changed many of our shop prices over time, but the fact that people were able to make more money just by being AFK in the past still makes the economy very unbalanced. Another reason for the reset is, I may want to switch over to OP Factions, and I feel like it is time for a new spawn. I have many ideas in mind that could help the server, but unfortunately, it will have to be whitelisted for a few months in order for the reset to take place. So I would just like to ask some questions to the PMC community. Is it worth it? If you have any tips or advice you'd like to give me for running a server or for cool ideas, please leave them here.

If you decide to do a reset, make sure to try to get your Economoy to be more balanced and fair for all players. An economy that is too easy or too hard is something that is wrong with a lot of servers.
A server reset would be necessary if it has been used for atleast six months. If you do decide into reseting your server make sure to put time & effort into it!
Its only worth when there has been Alot of Modders/Hackers who just mine diamonds and give to others and Grieff the whole world or everyone is to OP and r00d.

A reset would be worth it if you take your time to ensure it's 100% better than how your server is right now. It takes time to achieve a polished, unique server, so don't rush!
Hello! I've checked out your server, and it's amazing. You don't need to change a thing, just get some members on. Advertise, don't tell people ANYTHING about staff. And if they do ask, simply tell them staff isn't needed yet. I mean, you usually attract staff thirsty players when ya say anything about "staff needed" and such. I know this from experience cx. I'll be on your server. I enjoy it, and you just gotta advertise asking for loyal people who would stay and enjoy a cool factions server with crates and more. If you do it enough and get maybe 20+ people every advertisement 'event', then you could have yourself a nice community of 40+ people daily, if you do it enough.

I always have ideas for servers, especially for PvP based and creative servers, so if you are low on ideas, I'm filled with em. Other than that, sometimes you just need to reset a server. I used to be a server owner, but was abandoned due to the same reasons as you, but we also had some DDoS attacks, which led to shut down. Main things I know to think of is a lag free experience, and also try to set it apart from other faction servers. Before making a server, try about 15 different servers and get some ideas based off of them. PM me if your still dumbfounded.
Maybe do all the rewords and building on a PC hosted server and leave the server up untill all the building and reworks are done?
