Server Router Issue Help?
Ok, well I'm having 2 problems that I don't know if are related or not. The first problem is I have port-forwarded correctly, but I cannot (nor can anyone else) connect to my server using my external IP. I port-forwarded the port 25565 with TCP/UDP, have allowed it through my firewall, and have used whatsmyip.org to get my IP, but it still doesn't work.
The second problem is my laptop and desktop have excommunicated each other from each others network. By this, I mean Windows won't let them connect in a homegroup, LAN games don't work between the two even when directly connected to router with ethernet, and they can't ping each other from command prompt. I'm just wanting to get a basic understanding of the problem and hopefully a solution.

Be Sure To Setup Windows Firewall Correctly, or whatever firewall you are using. Some Routers Do Not Support Port Forwarding; may want to research into that if you still cant find whats going on.

Make sure that the internal IP you used to port forward was the one from the computer hosting the server and not accidentally another one on the network.
make sure the computer that is running the server is also allowing the server through the windows firewall
