could anyone tell me how to set up a server because my friend wants to set up a server
but he is a bit of a NOOB!

Alright, what you need to do: www.minecraft.net/download = Download the server.jar
Then run it anf let it load.
Then, leave it running and tell your friends the I.p
They NEED to be joined to the hamachi

hey guys anymore info on how to make a server/mod
if you want to make a mod then a guy on youtube called x2robbiex2 (i think thats his name) made a great series showing how to make mods which will tell you everything you need to know about making mods

oh well its just a BIT slower
the only problem with hamachi servers is there a bit slower than normal servers

if you are doing a cracked server, i would reccomend doing bukkit, and getting a password plugin. i would go and watch the video below, as this is where i learned.

If you don't want to pay, than it probably won't be dedicated. Its pretty simple, just download the server software from the place that you downloaded minecraft (minecraft.net) and portforward 25565. There are plenty of guides for port forwarding, I could tell you, but it is a lengthy, troublesome explanation, and I won't explain unless you can't find it somewhere.
Oh, well if he ever does, they are the best. i have gone to many diffrent people and have had nothing better!

Hey, i would just head over to servercraft.co and buy a server from them. it is simple, and if you have any problems, i can add you on skype and help you out! They are a great host and have been running my servers for 2 years! Tell me if you would like to use this option!
