Server wants me to connect with wrong version.
I am trying to connect to a 1.8 server, and when I join, I get "Connection Lost: Please use version 1.7". I know the server is 1.8, because my friend can connect to it with the client and use 1.8 features. And if I do try to connect with 1.7 is says "Connection Lost: Please use version 1.8".

Anyway, onto the serious point. Try deleting 1.8 then reinstalling. If not then do the same with 1.7 then. If all fails, then pick up that gun you got beside you... I think you know the rest
