So i made a server, and it was all working until it crashed and i had to kill it. then, when i restarted the server and had to do it all over again it said:

***Failed to bind port***
perhaps a server is already running on that port?

I have been trying to fix this for a year now, is there a way to somehow kill all servers on a port or something?

I used BukkitGUI to make a server

I recommend checking out this page:

http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/su ... nd-to-port

They seem to have solved it.

P.S do some more research before posting i literally just searched up:
failed to bind port minecraft server
And found the answer.

Took me less then a minute.

P.S.S PM me if you need more help!

Either shut down what ever is running on that port.
Or.... change port.

This does not matter for players, they just have to change the port.

If you are using a VPS or any sort of provider usually ports are already taken by others. If that is not the case, usually changing the port to something else works. For example; :25577, :25571, and et cetera. Allowing this port on your firewall should be done and changing the .server-properties file is required as well. Hopefully that helped.
