/setblock Help Please

Hello! I'm trying to build something where, when you push a button, a spawn egg is launched out of a dispenser and a command block sets a block. The first thing is working fine, and the redstone signal does also seem to be reaching the command block, but it's not setting the block. Any suggestions? I'd appreciate the help!

The current command I'm using is /setblock x y z minecraft:gold_block keep
