Setting up a new server on 1.7.3 beta

Hello i am thinking about starting a new server is the not so far future, but with a twist i will be running 1.7.3 beta. I would like to know is any interest exists ? and i would like advice on it too

Beta 1.7.3 was the last update before the Adventure Update (a.k.a. the update that many consider to have ruined Minecraft). So I guess people would be interested.
