Hi i just downloaded the latest version of optifine 1.15.2(first time) and when I go to the video settings the shaders option is there but i cannot click it and i have no idea what to do. Help

I got the same issue,I searched in YouTube how to install shaders in Minecraft oftipine 1.15.2 tlauncher but the guy clicked the shaders button without problem.

I think both oakar258 and Ronicalter have given the current answer to this. As in the up-to-date optifine changelog :
It's quite clear that the devs have not yet implimented shaders in a working state as of yet for 1.15.2.

I'm recommending carefully read changelog - Developer pointed out that some of the features(including shaders) are not working yet:

As it is a preview version, I don't think you would be able to use shaders.
Maybe try re-downloading optifine? I haven't experienced this, and make sure the option Fast Render is off, this option can be found in Performance
I did try re-downloading and fast render is off but it still doesn't work and I can't find any info on this happening to someone else.
