Shaders for Mac?
I have no idea if shaders woron on Mac, I myself am on MacBook Air and i use Yosemite (can't be bothered to update). I've been trying to get shaders for a while now but I think they're not made for Mac. Is this true?

Shaders started for windows, but the only purpose if it was made for MAC would be pictures, instead of recording.
I am able to run shaders on my mac. It too use a macbook. However, they are very low quality and laggy, and it took me an eternity to get it working, so I would suggest that if you want to make pictures and such, you use chunky instead. It takes longer, but ends up much nicer than screenshots.
Same. Been trying for a few months now, always get these weird messages when I load a world and the picture only appears in the bottom left corner and it's in green and red (I think)
Why wouldn't shaders work on a Mac if it's all Java-based?
I have a custom windows PC, and shaders barely work on it. I get maybe 10 Fps max. Your mac may support them, but in my experience using macs, they never have great GPUs allthough I have gotten lite shaderpacks working on macs before. Sonic Ether's will not work on a mac, but many other packs will. However, you will only get around 5-10 fps.
Intel GPUs don't support shaders very well (as in compatibility is extremely hit-and-miss). Even if you can get them to work, you won't get playable performance.
