Should I allocate more ram for a shaders mod?

I have 10 GB of RAM and a pretty bad GPU. If I allocated 1 more GB to Minecraft, would that reduce the lag?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: The GLSL Shaders mod (and shaderpacks used with it) rely on the GPU, not the system memory.
