Soundpack help?
I have a few questions about adding sounds into minecraft. In the music folder of minecraft I found some files named calm1-3.ogg, I've also heard of these files called "ha;" (1-4 meaning there were 4 different calm files I found). I tried to looking up what hal and calm stood for in terms of minecraft and couldn't find anything. Also I've added my own music into a custom soundpack (hal having 42 different songs and calm having 39). The songs play but the same songs keep playing. So does this mean that minecraft will only play hal 1-4 and calm 1-4 and not any of the other files? And one more thing. Is there a way to increase how often music plays in minecraft?
I've tried finding answers to these questions but I couldn't find anything to help me with these questions.

Do you know if there is already a mod out there that can do this for me?
Okay so lets say I copied hal1.ogg and got hal1(2).ogg. If I replaced the copy of the original hal, would it play?

Ah...so if I add a something like "hal5.ogg" will it play?
No, until you learn how to make mods.

You can't replace a song that doesn't exist.
Alright. So if I get a song convert it to ogg and all that. Replace the original hal file with the song will it play that instead?

You can type /playsound music.songname to increase how often the music plays.
