Recently I've been doing some PVP and I have been using the sprinting key, currently it is set to R for me. But I've had some trouble with this, It's hard for me to move right or left because of the way my hands are positioned. So my question is, what sprinting key is the best for fighting? Thank you.

I use Button 4, one of my macro buttons on my mouse.
I just use Ctrl (control) because im really into PVP so the sprint button needs to be in a comfortable place.
I use the default ctrl. I find it comfortable to press it down with the middle of my pinky while still having full WASD control with my other fingers.
Q, Its the best key for PvP, And set drop to Z.
I use Button 3 (Clicking the scroll wheel)
When ever I double tap to sprint though, it doesn't seem as unreliable as it used to be.

I have my index on W, and use my thumb to press the other 3. I have F as my sprint key and it works 87.96% well.
I press control, which is the default sprinting key anyway... R doesn't seem like the best sprinting key to me :/
I use TAB, but then I don't do a lot of PvP.
I like it because you can use your pinky for TAB, ring finger for A, middle for W and forefinger for D. It's kinda cramped though, so you might not like it

I personally use F, you only need to shift one finger. Otherwise i'd use capslock or something down there.

depends, any more details on how yourhands are positioned? otherwise if you do it pretty basic like middle = w, index = d etc. it would most likely by ctrl or shift because you hardly have to crouch when fighting.
