Is there a way to make myself a steve instead of alex? I have a skin,(my default is alex instead of steve) and the account(Danborg) was made AFTER 1.8, so that might explain, but I'd prefer steve.

Your default skin is based on your ID, so I don't think there's any way to change it.

You can always still just rename your own skin to char.png and put in Minecraft's assets, right?
No, that's lame. I play on servers more than single player so I don't wanna see dozens of me's.

Also to change your default skin from Alex to steve you go to minecraft.net click profile log in tick the box my skin fits default steve template and then click choose your skin and upload the file.

That's still not what I mean, the second part, atleast. My skin fits the steve, but if I take off my skin, It's alex. Even though I wouldn't see it as much, I'd like to have my default skin as steve.

When you upload your skin pick the "this is a normal skin" option rather than the "this is a 3 pixel arm skin" one
