Strange lag issue

Whenever I go into a single player world or a server, it feels like my mouse sensitivity is through the roof. I can only look at the sky or the ground, and I can't move without freezing. I even turned my mouse sensitivity all the way down to 1, and it still persisted. This was a fresh download on a new computer, running Java 8 64-bit, 3GB dedicated RAM, any minecraft version. I haven't a clue what's going on here, so any help would be appreciated. If you need any additional information, I will provide what I can. Thank you.

Thanks for the offer, but it was sort of a silly cause. I had 58 updates to install via Windows Update, and one of them must have fixed the issue. I appreciate the offer, though! ^-^/

Edit: Nvm, the issue came back even after all that. I don't know wtf is going on here.

You did a system refresh? Have you installed all of your drivers back?

I actually completely forgot to re-download the latest Nvidia drivers, so thanks for reminding me of that! Unfortunately, it had no effect on my game.
That got me thinking, though. "I wonder what else needs to be updated.." So I checked Windows Update and I kinda sorta had 58 updates to install ^-^; Still don't know what exactly caused the issue, but one of those 58 updates fixed my problem! Thanks for the help, I appreciate it! ^-^/

Edit: Nevermind, I don't know what's going on, it came back after I closed the game out for a few hours and got back on

Sorry for the duplicate replies cluttering up this topic, kinda new to the whole forum thing.

Maybe a fresh install of minecraft. Backup any singleplayer worlds and write down server names then just delete the folder called ".minecraft". After that go to minecraft.net and download the minecraft launcher. If that doesn't work then please list the name of the mouse you have or even just the brand.

I've tried that several times with no luck. I've also unplugged the USB mouse. No luck. My laptop is an ASUS X550, Nvida GeForce 840m graphics card, intel core i5, Windows 8.1.

I have played minecraft on this computer before with no issues, but I have performed a system restore and windows 8 refresh recently in an attempt to correct unrelated issues.

Thank you for replying.

Well that was just one of my solutions. The issue was there from right from the start. And I have 8GB RAM, so.

It's not your typical lag, either. At this point I'm not quite sure what it is. It's not like a little stutter that's inconvenient, I literally cannot play. Just slightly moving my mouse causes chaos.

-Yea, this is getting really weird. It's literally only when I move my mouse. I can only look up or down or it'll freeze until I move my mouse to look up or down again. If I try to move without looking around, I get no lag at all.
