Stuck on "connecting to server"
Hi everyone. My friend is having some trouble connecting to any sever he tries. I've looked around online and everyone is very vague on what to do. He keeps on getting stuck on the "Connecting to server" screen. He has it updated to the latest. He has re-installed it and it still isn't working. Also, he can't delete his .minecraft file.

He tried logging out and that didn't work. He has the right version. all his added servers are just pinging they won't show if he can connect or not
it has nothing to do with the servers. its rather he has something stopping him in the .minecraft folder or on his computer or his connection :/ thats all i can think of
Try logging out and logging back in.
Don't just close Minecraft and reopen it, actually hit the logout button on the launcher.
Also make sure he's on the right version of Minecraft.

well he can play all other games online its just minecraft that he cant play
Woody239I have a very complicated ritual which he can perform, and if the gods are pleased, the connection will be restored, and he shall be granted access to the servers.lol the ritual thing made me laugh but it really is his connection, he just needs to find a way to fix it :/

Its most likely that hes typing the server ip wrong xD But to be serious it might just be his internet connection :/
Are you completely sure the ips are correct, or the servers are on. Because that causes that problem too.
