Stuck with Openjdk Platform Binary Not Responding - Any Ideas?

Whenever I try to run certain Java applications or even just basic Java commands, the Openjdk Platform Binary process starts up, but then it just hangs and becomes completely unresponsive. I've waited for a gooHas anyone else faced a similar problem with "Registration Renewal" DMVNOW the Openjdk Platform Binary becoming unresponsive?d amount of time, but it doesn't seem to recover or complete whatever it's trying to do.

This post suggests uninstalling OpenJDK completely, as Minecraft does not need a separate Java installation. Java programs in general only need the standard Java application. The JDK is for developers. Go to your Control Panel in Windows and go to "Uninstall a Program". You should find OpenJDK in the list.
