So after playing a bunch of steam and stuff for about a week I come back and play some minecraft. It's fine until after about an hour and my fps goes down significantly.
I have a alienware aurora and get about 300-400 fps on average but now my fps lingers around 100 and it jitters.(Sorry to the 30 and 14 fps people ).I have a 64 bit java and updated graphics cards and stuff but..........yeah.
What I've done in that hour:
*Opened Dxtory
*installed forge,zanmap, and damage indicators
*Skyped
*Played starbound
*Went on a couple servers
Anyone help please? :C

Destroy all of the enemy process, severely, and suddenly!
Kill some tasks using task manager, warning: do not stop the temp process
Try closing EVERYTHING except minecraft, and see how much FPS you then have. Or, simply lower your video settings.
Okay, so you probably have to many stuff running at once. XD
lol i get 200+ fps on my crappy macbook from 2011..
This guy is god. On my Macbook Pro, from last year, without Optifine, I'd be dreaming to get at least 70 FPS.
Anyways, perhaps install Optifine on your Minecraft. It helps boost your FPS significantly (basically doubles it) and you get a cool feature where you can zoom in and stuff.
