Sun Direction Plugin

Hey guys!
So I have a problem involving big unwanted shadows and sun direction.
I have spent the last few months building a new version of our movie based Erebor located here http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/ ... -mountain/
(Look at the second picture for our teaser picture release).
The problem is, I have recently made an overhang over the front gate, and unfortunately it puts a shadow covering the entire door. It doesn't look good, and the mountain is so big, the sun never shines on the front. I can only think of two different ways to fix this,
1. Sun direction change plugin which allows me to have the sun rise in the North like old times
2. I find a way to remove this whole shadow, maybe with a plugin of some sort.
I know there are client mods like Zan's mini map which allow me to change direction, but I am looking for a server plugin so all visitors dot have to have a certain mod.
