Tekkit Keeps Crashing!

Hello there,
I'm taned.
Whenever I play tekkit, it crashes.
Here is what happens:
I log on, go to my favourite server and after 10 seconds it crashes.
I've tried giving tekkit 2gb and 512mb, but its no use.
If there is anyone there who knows how to help, please PM me.
What I'm using - Mac with 8gb (Not laptop)
