Tekkit Steam Engine Explosion Help

Hey so me and my friend are building a factory in tekkit. We have condensers which send coal to the engines which power a quarry which give fuel to the condensers (valued items are split before hand). We plan on running this 24 hrs a day. Now here's the problem it's been running for 2 days now, and some of the steam engines have started exploding. I'm not sure if this is from overheating or just regular creepers (we have a roof though and the place is pretty well lit up) if it isn't the latter option I have no clue what to do. At all.
