I need a bit of help here, as everything I tried has failed and I can't find anyone else with the same problem. Every time I try to pick a non-solid block up (Torches, ferns, flowers, etc...) All textures are removed with the exception of chests, fire turning grey and mobs. I can temporarily fix it by going to the resource packs menu (None installed) and hit done. I have tried:
-Deleting all resource packs
-Deleting .minecraft and re-installing it
-Consulting Google

I assume this isn't the default texture pack you're talking about? What texture pack is it that you're using?
Perhaps a lot of the changes that came with 1.7+ haven't been fully adapted into the texture pack yet, making it act strangely.
Are there no status updates or anything on the texture pack artists' website or download page?
