Texture/Resource Pack Won't Work?
Hello :D So I found a really old texture pack I'd like to use (By old i mean from 2012) and i can't get it to show up as something to select on minecraft when i copy it into my resource pack folder. Is it because I'm not using an older version? (i tried going onto 1.3 but that won't let me start the game up it just crashes)
This is the pack I'm trying to use:

This texture pack was made for Minecraft release version 1.2.x
I've just tried it on MC 1.2.5 and although it works, it looks like not all textures are available - looks bad. Because of the way textures were done in early versions of Minecraft, you'd have to make substantial changes to the pack in order to make it work on a later version of MC, plus you'd have to add all the missing textures for all new content that have been added since MC 1.2.5 - which is quite substantial. However, if you just want to view what it looks like, just set up an MC 1.2.x version in your instances.

will do thank you !
Im not surprised it doesnt work in newer version, since in older texture packs most if not all textures were stored inside same texture files, and in newer versions most textures are stored separately. I dont know why it crashes your game though.
