Me and my friends were playing on a 1.9 server with me (mah server) and one of them can't seem to brew. I tried brewing to, but it didn't work. Is something wrong with my computer and minecraft? It won't seem to brew. Please help me here!

Brewing stands now require blaze powder to work. If you're using an outdated resource pack, you might not be able to see the slot that the blaze powder goes in, but it should be near the upper-left corner.
