I need help! i just created a server for the first time, but i dont know how to make myself admin! My new server has no plugins, so it is vanilla or something!i need so much help! I dont know what to do, since this is my very first server! so if you could plz help me wih my server, i have very big plans for it! it lags just a bit, not much! it is run on a VERY old mac!

I think you forgot to port forward, which means letting ppl from outside your home connect to your server.
OK guys, my server is finally up, after long last. although we couldn't do anything to it ATM, it is able to let people on. see you there!

So I herd you needs help. I have come to help.
Hi there, welcome to the struggling world of hosting a server. If you DO want plugins, I direct you to bukkit.org There are tutorials, plugins, and a helpful group of fellow server owners willing to teach you what you need to know. If you DONT want plugins, simply typing /op NAME will give that person the permission to Kick, Ban, spawn items, teleport, time of day, etc. For the basic server default commands.
However, I DO reccomend you get plugins to meet your "Big Plans" :3
