So I've spent countless hours uninstalling/installing minecraft/forgecraft/bukkit/modloader and everything seems outdated and the mods that say they aren't don't work either. Is there a single mod that I can download and use NOW that actually works? If so, how do I use it. I've never been able to get a mod to work with minecraft ever, yet I mod fallout 3/skyrim/etc all the time. Any help would be great, thanks.

If you've never gotten a single mod to ever install on Minecraft its fair to assume you are not doing it right and it is not the fault of the mods.
Installing user content for Bethesda Games is no more difficult then plug n play to make or install. Minecraft on the other hand does require some knowledge of how things work if the mod starts to get a little complicated. I suggest you read the instructions that game with the mod, or look them up on the internet for very sepcific step by step instructions on how to install it.

I always do, and re-read and retry. I meant I've created my own mods for said games. Could you give me an example of a mod your using now?
