Is there a limit to how many log updates I can make over time on one project? And is there a limit to how frequently I can update the project (i.e. once a day, or maybe once every other day)? I want to make sure I'm in community guideliness. Thanks for reading my question!

There's no limit, no.
There's no limit on how frequently you can do it either since your submission will only be bumped once per 24 hours, regardless of if you add 1 or 100 update logs that day (if you add 100 in a day though, they're probably not major). To add an update log, your update should be considered major.
