Troubles with mods

i am new to java edition and i having trouble installing forge for mods. can anyone recommend a good beginners tutorial? i have watched some but they are missing pieces of info

use MultiMC, you can get it from here - https://multimc.org/
assuming you have java 64bit installed from here - https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
1. sign into your account using the top right accounts button
2. right click - create instance
3. select instance then on the right side hit edit instance
4. press install forge or fabric - right side of popup screen, i would recommend the version with the star next to it
5. select loader mods - left side, then drag your mods into that screen

use the overwolf/curse/twitch launcher - https://curseforge.overwolf.com/
1. select create custom profile
2. select the version of minecraft you want and the forge version to go along with it
3. select your profile
4. select the add more content button
5. search for mods - onl;y versions compatible with what version of minecraft you have will show up and will auto install dependencies
