I am creating this thread due to that I want to know what people want to see in a server, I used to own a factions server which had a decent popularity, I know it isn't unique but most of people prefered it, In this thread I want to ask you this question "what type of server and what do you prefer in a server?"
"www.interstron.com" my old server's website...
for example:
I prefer a skyblock server were you can create your own shop, add people to your island, also I want it to be protected from grief, due to that I want to enjoy playing minecraft, communicate with people without any hate and that my buildings could be visited and appreciated by anyone without people griefing it.

Personally? Something that makes a good twist.
Generic servers these days strike me as about attractive as eating the same piece of bread again and again and again with different crumbs on the edges... especially factions ones. When it comes to factions; why join yours over the thousands of other servers that do it, many of which either offer more, have more seniority, or some combination?
