Whenever I start Minecraft, (its starting to happen since 1.14 showed up) , and create a new world or open one, the screen just freezes for a solid 5- 8 minutes.
It stops at about 100% (when the world has been created) AND then takes up a lot of time to start. Why does this happen?

IF SPECS ARE REQUIRED, :-

MY PC HAS INTEL(R) CORE (TM) i5 - 4460T CPU @ 1.90 Hz, (4GB ram)
graphics are Intel Integrated 4600
approx memory 1920 MB
and for rendering, NVIDIA GeForce 820A

Please, help.

You probably don't have enough memory.

here are the minimum requirements: https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/325948-minecraft-java-edition-system-requirements

Your computer doesn't have a good enough graphics card or enough memory to play the game. You should really have 2GB dedicated to the game but you don't even have that much on your entire computer so that's a big problem! However, the fact that it creates the world fine shows this isn't the issue as the game crashes when it begins the rendering of the world, so you'll have to upgrade your graphics card.

It could be possible that you've ran out of memory/space on your computer. I had a similar issue a few years ago and it turns out my computer had run out of space/was on the verge of running out of space and Minecraft was like NOPE. If you have worlds you don't use anymore, consider deleting them and just freeing up some space on your computer in general and see if that helps. Hope it's fixed for you soon!
