**First of all, peoples Subject descriptions are bad.

Okay so when you start a new map everything is blacked out and undiscovered.
DynMap is a perfect way to see what i mean.

I have a map I have been using for around 1 year now and i'm wondering if it is possible to unload the chunks to look like it was a new map?
This would help in minimising it's size im sure.
My map ATM is around 5000mb and i would love for it to be smaller but the main reason is so players that use dynmap have to discover the areas again. adding a sense of "halp i cant see no more".

From the minecraft WIKI on chunks i gathered that this might not be possible due to the way chunks are loaded and spawned that if any existing developments on that land will be erased. for example doing it to spawn.

So i'm here to ask if anyone of you know a plugin or if it cant be done?

In dynmap if you go into the folder dynmap/web/tiles you can simply delete the folder that's the name of your world and this should clear the map

I don't know exactly what you mean but you could use something like mcedit to delete and load new chunks or repopulate existing ones.
