Well the title says it. When I run the server, all I get is a blank gui. and nothing is running, as it looks like. Confused, can anyone help?

Okay. Ive installed JRE
But I dont think its a crash, have you tried the new vanilla server launcher recently?
It could be many things from a simple exception to a thread lockdown

nickfromgreecedownload the jar version, open the command prompt and type this:cd <path to the jar(WITHOUT THE JAR FILE INCLUDED>
ex: cd C:\User\Nick\Server\
then type this:java -jar <jar name>.jar
then right click on the console after the crash, select all the text, press enter and paste it here
Java is not recognized as an internal or external command. After writing java -jar minecraft.jar
