Does anybody know how I can remove or otherwise disable the smoke that comes from campfires? I’m trying to build something that has a lot of campfires, the smoke from the campfires makes the game unbearably laggy. I’ve tried to turn off particles but the campfire smoke seems to not be considered a particle since it stays, I’ve tried covering the campfires with structure and void blocks but the smoke still appears. On top of this I’ve yet to find a texture pack or any other sort of mod that removes smoke and is compatible with recent updates. So now I ask community, is there anyway to just remove the campfire smoke while keeping the fire itself that I haven’t tried yet?

I got this,...
its not super hard to make a resource pack yourself..
go into a new file, go to minecraft, then click "versions" and click 1.19.3 then go to textures, and then particles, and go to the campfire smoke texture, and simply erase all of it.

Turn off particles in settings.
i put slabs over the fire
u could also try barrier blocks idk if that works
Well, you may be able to turn the texture into a blank file. Remember to back up the file beforehand, though.
There's this mod that was made exactly for your purpose: https://modrinth.com/mod/smoke-suppression, tho it hasn't been updated to 1.19.3. Alternatively, you can turn off smoke altogether, by looking in the Particles tab when using Optifine or Sodium Extra (alongside Sodium). I don't know how much you know about mods but if you feel free to ask if you need any help :)
I think using a shovel turns off the fire, thus the smoke.
How about using a texture pack which removes the texture of the smoke or just use a bucket to unlit
You could always splash some water on them so they would be not lit, but at least no smoke either?
