Hi all,

So Dynmap is a sort of website with all its files in the same database as the minecraft server. My question is could it be possible to host another website among dynmap on your server. I want to keep them both so I am not going to edit the "web" folder in dynmap.

Would it work if I copy the whole dynmap folder. Put it in the plugins folder and rename it? Changing the content of "web" folder to my own .html files?

Hope someone got a answer for me.

Stefan.

Dude, just get a enjin website like everyone else. That will never work.
Even if that was possible you would be "stealing" resources from your server to run the website, cpu, ram, disk space.. you name it, it would require a powerfull machine wich you dont have cause your using shares hosting.

Thanks for your reply,

I thought I could do it like this,
I replace the content of dynmap with my website, then it shows me my website when you connect to 145.234.67.78...... right? So if I could create another dynmap plugin with only the web part and not the render thing, I could have another site on a other port, 8124 for example because dynmap is 8123. Then I can redirect my URL to it with an Iframe so that it wont show you the IP. Thought this could be handy, I could host my website at a webhoster but don' t have a really big server yet, so still not the budget what comes with one.

It doesn't really work like that.
Shared minecraft hosting is for servers only.
To run a web-server you need a VPS or a Dedicated machine, those ussually cost a lot more than your average mcprohosting-like hosting company.
You would also need to have linux know-how, ssh, and bunch of other knowledge.
