1.5 Weird sky.

Today, I was playing on my friend's server as I usually do. I tried walking out of my house and then out of no where the sky turned grey with blue particles and streaked with Black lines. I had been getting a lot of lag prior to that but I thought it was just 1.5. I don't have any mods installed, I have texture packs installed but I'm not using them currently.

Go to settings and find: "Sky"

Could have been your minecraft not being restarted in a while.
I suggest getting OptiFine if you are getting loads of lag.
