What block would be better for a volcano?

I need to know which block would be better for a volcano, the volcano will be built on an island that's quite mountainous, and has lots of dirt and stone:

Brown stained clay - looks good, but will it blend in with the surrounding dirt and stone.
Smooth stone - Will blend in with environment, but a bit plain.
Other - choose other and then reply with your suggestion!
