so today minecraft updated to 1.7.2.
I was happy to see that minecraft was updated and
i dicided to continiu playing on my survival island.
since the maps where updated i grabed my boat and explored
the aria until i saw a giant chuck that was like cut trough half.
so does sombody know wtf happend.

Yeah, you should've updated from 1.6.2 to 1.6.4, loaded your world then go to 1.7.
If you look at the update log in the Minecraft launcher for 1.6.4:
