Why can I only build 18 blocks high in 1.6.4?

please help cause I cannot make any pixel art,develop my city or make voxel art please help!

note to self: never use a tunnelers dream world you can only build 18 blocks high since 1.6.4

Press F3. it should say the map is really really really high... like 200 blocks up in the air...

Are you playing on superflat? some superflat world types start very high, like at highest possible mountain point high

I know but on my laptop when I updated to 1.6.4 and made a tunnelers dream superflat world I could only build 18 blocks high

Tunneler's Dream worlds go up to about 230 blocks to increase the amount of stone and ore to mine. That would be why you are having this problem. Try to go into the presets and remove some bits and pieces (maybe all of the stone) to make the world higher, or simply make a new world using a different preset.
