So I was playing Java Edition, and I noticed that my F5, F3, F2, and F1 keys were not working. I tried pressing control with the F keys but it still didn't work. I then noticed this button on my keyboard called "f lock". I found out it could toggle whether my F keys worked or not on my PC. I was confused because I had visited a lot of other forums and none of the mentioned this "f lock" key. Can someone please tell me why?

f lock is a function that comes on laptops and smaller sized keyboards that can swap the function of the f keys to an alternate version that could increase or decrease volume, brightness, put the computer to sleep, launch specific applications and so on
