I have made a texture pack that adds glass to doors, but for some reason when I load it up in the game, it says that it is incompatible, and the doors do not have glass.
I have set everything up right (did I?).

The files look good... try putting everything one directory up in the zip (remove the first folder). Also, the current pack format should be 6.

I believe you're testing the resource pack on a newer version than the resource pack was meant for.
I made it and its intended for the latest version of Minecraft
