Why show that error

Guys today tried to open the original minecraft and this appeared: Unable to download remote file. Check your internet connection / proxy settings.
FATAL ERROR: net.minecraft.bootstrap.FatalBootstrapError: Unable to download while being forced
at net.minecraft.bootstrap.Bootstrap.execute (Bootstrap.java: 95)
at net.minecraft.bootstrap.Bootstrap.main (Bootstrap.java: 381)


Please fix the error and restart.
Please tell me what I do!

check your firewalls i had this and McAfee was blocking minecraft despite i have told it about 500 times to not block minecraft

he said he's using the original minecraft, the pre 1.5 one, it's probably unsupported or something.

This is a possible solution. If it's not working after that, it might be your firewall or anti-virus (MCafee is known for it) blocking the downloads

Try redownloading the launcher; yours may be corrupt or non-functional.

Can you rightclick minecraft.exe and run it as administrator?
If not, who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider ex. comcast, centurylink, etc.)

Maybe one of your files in your Minecraf.jar folder got deleted. Anyways i suggested deleting Minecraft and re-installing it
