i am a beginner texture pack maker and i just released my first texture pack and on friday the 1.4 update comes out. Will i have to remake all the textures i made (BTW i use gimp)

Basically do what above me said. Just when you get the release, copy the new textures and edit them for your texture pack and place them where they need to be.
No, you will NOT have to! But please download the snapshot and look at its default textures! Add the new stuff in 1.4 to the blank stuff in 1.3!
